Farewell message from Rilla, to Mrs Susie Johnson, who is leaving the Blenheim Campus.

Mrs Johnson is the first to greet you when you walk into school. You always know when Mrs Johnson is away, her smiling face that greets you in the morning is just not there. That ray of sunshine is leaving us. She continues to greet us every morning even though the majority just say hello back or they go on and on about how they are or how their weekend was, never thinking to ask her how her weekend was. She listens to all our tales of woes and doesn’t shy from asking the appendix specialist if the pain she is in is her appendix.

A woman of many talents which we can back up, just ask Mrs Winitana. Her job is what the usual admin does… as well as anything else that needed doing. She was doing everything, from the newsletter, reminding me to say please and thank etc.  I sometimes forget.  I don’t know what I’m going to do without her for that.

To Mrs Johnson, I wish you well at your new job and I hope that you will visit us every now and again. Also, I forgot to mention that when I start my food truck there will be something, and I mean anything, named after you. A ray of sunshine. We are all going to miss you. Our ray of sunshine.
