Harold and Ingrid visit the Nelson Campus
The Life Education Trust Bus visited the Nelson campus on the 15th and 16th of September. Over the two days, the Year 3-8s went along to meet Harold the Giraffe and his friend Ingrid. They taught us about making choices for good mental and physical health and wellbeing. Some highlights were learning about making healthy food choices, what to do if you are about to ‘flip your lid’, and the importance of integrity. One interesting fact the Year 3-4s learned was that a child should have no more than four teaspoons of sugar per day. The children were surprised to learn of foods that contain lots of hidden sugar like yoghurt and muesli bars.
