Motuara Island
The Year 3-10 students from the Blenheim Campus had a fantastic trip to Motuara Island in the Queen Charlotte Sound. This island is a predator-free wildlife sanctuary, located at the entrance to the South Island. We encountered lots of wildlife, including dolphins, sea birds, seals, native birds, and even came across Macca, the stoat-sniffing dog! The view from the top of the island was amazing, we could see across to the North Island. Upon our return to Picton, we enjoyed a burger lunch and ice block, along with a play at the foreshore.
