During OSG Science Week the Nelson Year 3-6 students worked together to design and build a bridge. At the end of the week, we watched each group present their bridge to the class. All the bridges fulfilled the brief, which was to span the 50cm OSG River while supporting five cars. Some bridges were more stable than others and there were some interesting design features. This was a great opportunity for the children to work together on a project and to achieve a finished item within a given time frame. One problem remains: who will take the bridges home?
