TESSELLATIONS

The Year 3-4 students have been learning to make tessellations. These are the tiles we made.

First, we got some squares of card and drew different lines with vivid on two sides.

We cut along the lines, then we slid the pieces to the other side and sellotaped them on.

We drew around our shapes on A3 paper.

We needed to make sure we didn't move the tiles when we were tracing round them, or flip them over, or turn them around.

We also needed to make sure there were no gaps between the tiles. We couldn't overlap them either.

Finally, we added some features to make animals or faces.
