Campus Principal Update
Greetings Everybody
It is a huge relief to hear that Mr Rogers is recovering well, please take time to view the video below. He reported that he is getting some exercise and feels a little bit better every day. We all wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back at Nelson Campus soon.
I was at the principal’s meeting in Auckland on Monday and Tuesday of this week. It was a very productive two days, where ideas were exchanged around how to improve the learning centre experience for students, and the expectations around Zoom lessons and canvas courses, amongst other things.
Looking ahead, we have the Upper South Cross Country competition in Westport next Friday 25 June.
School reports will be sent out to parents on Friday 02 July. During the last week of term on 7 and 8 July, whanau teachers will be available for 2/3 way conferences.
Please book your interviews on the school interview site. Details will be sent from head office regarding this.
On the last day of term, July 9, house challenges will be held.
This will include an inter-house debate and master chef challenge. These activities will be site based. More information will come from the student leaders soon.
During the past week I have received NCEA results for the senior students. I am very impressed by these. I wish to congratulate the students on their achievements.
I also want to thank the staff and students from Nelson Campus for the way they are working together to achieve success in the absence of Mr Rogers.
I am looking forward seeing everyone at the cross country in Westport next week.
Mr de Beer
