Hello Everybody! 

We are very excited to be hosting Cross Country this year, we have had some wonderful winter weather here over the last couple of weeks and the trail is holding up exceptionally well. 

Here is some important information for you, there may be more detail to follow next week, but here is what we can tell you about the day:

• At this point, first race will start at 10:00am, location will be Carters Beach Domain, Marine Parade, Carters Beach 7825.
• Students will be competing in the following groups, boys and girls will race separately.
• Race order has changed since last communication (see below)
• Times are approximate:-

• 9:30am - Travelling students must be onsite
• 10:00am - Year 3 and 4 - boys first, girls second
• 10:30am - Year 5 and 6
• 11:00am - Year 11 (Year 11, 12 and 13 girls may run together but will be placed separately.  The same with the boys event to save time if required).
• 12 midday - Year 12
• 12:30pm - Year 13 
• 1:00pm - Year 7 and 8
• 1:30pm - Year 9 and 10
• 2:15pm - Presentation of medals and special awards
• 2:30pm- Finish and depart

• Student Leaders are organising other sports on the domain (currently touch rugby and volleyball), to keep students occupied while they are not racing. 
• We will have time to present medals at the end of the day before students leave for home.
• Food (see below) will be on offer at the hall and there are plenty of toilet facilities at the domain. There will be no allocated lunchtime, food will need to be consumed well in advance of race or after race.
• Year 3-6 students will run 2km
• Year 7-10 students will run 3.2km
• Year 11-13 students will run 4.55km

We are using a "out and back" trail, i.e run to a point and return on the same trail, you will have a wonderful view of the trail and the runners!

Food:

The cross country menu will be on Kindo on Monday 21June and cut off for orders will be Thursday morning 24 June.  The sweet items which can be purchased on the day will be cash only (no Eftpos).  Basic tea and coffee will be provided at the venue.   Hot chips and flat whites are available to purchase at the dairy across the road.

Directions to Carters Beach Domain – opposite 31 Marine Parade, Carters Beach, 7825:

• Enter into town on main highway and turn left at the main intersection towards Carters Beach
• Turn right onto Tasman Street and drive straight ahead to the end of the street
• Turn left onto Marine Parade and then onto the grassy field between the green Carters shed to the south and the Carters Beach Hall to the north
• Carparking will be available for cars on the grass between the green Carters shed and the road that accesses Carters Beach Hall
• Please drive slowly to avoid damaging the grass on the carpark area
