Tourism Rap Videos - Y3-6 West Coast
One of our tasks this term, was to write a rap about a tourist attraction on the West Coast close to Greymouth or Westport.
We were allowed to work by ourselves or in pairs. We loved writing the rap, but sometimes it was challenging because if we couldn’t find any rhyming words, then we would have to rearrange the sentence.
We had to record ourselves saying the rap to the beat. One of our challenges this term was to be able to speak clearly over Zoom, so this was a chance to practice how to do this. It was hard to record ourselves saying the rap because we kept saying the words wrong or out of time.
Next time we would try to speak more clearly and say the ends of our words when we speak. We know now that we have to say the ends of our words and we can use this learning for when we have to record something else, talk over Zoom, or recite speeches to a crowd.
A new thing we learned is that sometimes when it feels like you are saying the ends of your words, you aren’t. We had a lot of fun completing this task.
