Tinfoil Tourists - Blenheim Junior Class
The Year 3-6 students in Blenheim created these tinfoil tourists as part of our Tourism unit.
Can you guess what each of the figurines is doing?

Muffins for Mums Day - Blenheim Campus
Muffins For Mums Day was a huge success in Blenheim on Monday 16th August!
It was great that all the mums were able to come into campus to talk to the students, be shown work, participate in activities and enjoy a delicious morning tea.
First the mums went through the junior school classes where work was presented to them, followed by an exciting game of Kahoot!
The mums then had a delicious morning tea that was beautifully set out over a large table. There was a variety of food for them to choose from as well as tea and barista coffee!
The juniors all worked together in the morning to freshly make the club sandwiches and filled rolls. The Year 7-8s pulled their cookies out of the oven just minutes before the mums arrived, and the three muffin flavours and other sweet items were prepared by the rest of the senior students.
A big thank you to all the students for coming together and preparing all the food for this morning tea, the mums absolutely loved it!
This was a great, positive day with awesome interaction, considering we are now all stuck in lockdown!
Trick Shot Challenge - Year 3-6 Blenheim and West Coast
In our first few days of lockdown, the Year 3-6 students from Blenheim and West Coast took part in a trick shot challenge.
The teachers were blown away by the students’ creativity and perseverance!
Here are just a few of the many wonderful videos created by the students.
Muffins for Mums Day - Greymouth Campus
Muffins for Mums Day at Greymouth campus was a great success, with all the mums coming along to enjoy a delicious feast of sweet and savoury muffins as well as hot coffee.
When they arrived, they took a tour of the junior school where they were able to view their new board games and then they gathered around a table to complete a challenge of guess the price of ‘mum’ related products.
The winner was Monique Petrie who was crowned the top mum!
We are currently still planning a Muffins for Mums Day for the Westport mums. It is still to be decided if we will wait until lockdown is over or get creative and hold it via zoom.
We will keep you updated and look forward to seeing you all!
Lunch for Ladies - Nelson Campus
Lunch for Ladies on 16th August was a huge success!
Ladies from all ages came to see the Nelson OSG students hard at work. The year 11-13 students all kindly helped out in providing them a delicious lunch.
While some sat, chat and ate, the more energetic ones played a game of volleyball in the gym.
It was great to see everyone have a wonderful time in what we didn’t know what was to be one of our last days at school before Covid struck again!
Over the next week we would like to invite all Upper South OSG students to show their creativity and design their very own face mask!
Get as creative as you like, it doesn't have to be just coloring in, it could be using leaves or anything.
Let your imagination run wild and show us your creativity!
The top three most creative face masks will get house points for their house team. See the template and link to submit your work below.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email Lavinia. lavinia.rice21@nz.oneschoolglobal.com
The competition closes on Monday 6th September, just over one week away.
